Always reluctant to go first, but here is my brief opinion. I thought Measure, Archive, Osage County and Caesar were pretty much equally outstanding each in their own way. Mockingbird seemed a little thin, maybe a case where a wonderful film is still the best adaptation of a novel. Invalid was a lot of fun, however I found it too much like too many filmed comedies (much better acted, of course), bathroom humor with a really sappy ending. How is that for thinking I can put all that theatrical work into a short post.
Thanks for that Paul! I need to learn to summarize the season in such few words…In a couple of months, when I’ve seen everything, I think I ought to give it shot! I know this shouldn’t be surprising to me, how differently folks perceive the plays, but it always is.
